President Donald Trump wants to change everything Barack Obama did for the United States. His promises during the political campaign included repealing Obama regulations and rules. It looks like that his legacy is in jeopardy. Trump wants to replace the Obamacare with a new health plan. Also, he wants to erase Obama’s legacy on climate change in order to make the United States energy-independent. Latest thing Trump wants to change is to reverse Obama’s policies towards Cuba.

Donald Trump is about to take another shot at Barack Obama’s legacy as he is preparing to announce a rollback of the former president’s policies towards Cuba.
“The Trump Administration has been ‘ready’ since February 2017 to announce changes, but issues unrelated to Cuba have intervened,” said John Kavulich of the nonpartisan U.S. Cuba Trade and Economic Council, according to Western Journalism.
Kavulich went on to confirm that Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Bob Menendez, D-N.J., along with Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, R-Fla., have been working behind-the-scenes with the Trump administration on reversing the Obama administration’s approach towards Cuba.
Kavulich said that the Trump administration will enact “increased enforcement relating to travel,” and institute “a focus upon discouraging transactions with entities controlled by the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) of the Republic of Cuba.” The U.S. Cuba Trade and Economic Council said these changes will be announced in June.
Rubio was a vocal critic of Obama’s decision to lift the 50-year trade embargo against Cuba, accusing him of indirectly aiding the Castro regime.
“We could have used, and can use, economic sanctions through the embargo as a leverage to gain democratic concessions and openings for the Cuban people in exchange for alleviating some of these conditions, especially the diplomatic recognition and the removal of Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list,” Rubio said in July 2015. “The Cubans have basically achieved all of those concessions and in return have done nothing to change … The only thing that will change is the amount of money the regime will have access to.”
Back in February, Trump said that he and Rubio “have very similar views on Cuba.”
“I am confident that President Trump will treat Cuba like the dictatorship it is and that our policy going forward will reflect the fact that it is not in the national interest of the United States for us to be doing business with the Cuban military,” Rubio said last month.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise because Trump has been preparing to do this move since February. Obama’s trade embargo didn’t really help the Cubans. However, Trump is here now to fix Obama’s mistakes. He can help the Cubans since he and Rubio want the same thing for Cuba.
