Fox News Host Says She Received A Call From Trump Before His Paris Agreement Announcement

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced that he will withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement. This made the liberals angry. However, Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle said Trump is only keeping his promises. People shouldn’t be surprised about exiting the climate change agreement because Trump said he would do that during his political campaign. She also said she received a call from him before he made the announcement.

Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle revealed Thursday night that she received a phone call Thursday morning from President Donald Trump as he was putting the finishing touches on his plan to announce the United States was pulling out of the Paris climate agreement.

Trump’s call came up as Guilfoyle and her co-hosts were discussing Trump’s decision.

“I think he did the brave and courageous thing,” Guilfoyle said.

She then very casually added something.

“I told him that this morning. When he called. At 8 a.m.,” she said. “I spoke to him about it, and this was something very much so on his mind.”

“Wait a second! Who called you?” exclaimed co-host Greg Gutfeld. “I think that you buried the lede here.”

“I know, yeah, the president called me at 8 in the morning,” she said.

“I thought it was Fox News,” she said. “But then he said he loves The Five  ‘terrific show’ — and said to say hello to all of you.”

Guilfoyle said Trump wanted to discuss his decision and the communications approach he was taking to announce his decision. Trump’s statement delivered Thursday afternoon characterized the Paris agreement as a job-killing deal that was a benefit to foreign economies.

“He was excited about this today; it was going to be a big speech and a lot of people would be excited about it,” Guilfoyle said. “However, there would be people that would be upset and disappointed. He would do his best to explain.”

Guilfoyle then noted that she supports Trump’s position.

“I don’t think this is a deal that anybody should be crying about. Like we said, it’s nonbinding, and the United States is already a clean energy, oil and gas leader. So we can keep doing what we’re doing,” she said.

Guilfoyle was interviewed last year to become part of the White House communications team, and in recent weeks was mentioned as a possible replacement for White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

No matter what President Donald Trump does, it will make some people angry. However, he’s only keeping his promises he made during his political campaign. People voted for him so they shouldn’t be surprised by his actions. After all, he just wants to make our country better.
