After Kathy Griffin released the video in which she holds Trump’s bloody head, she apologized. But, she still attacked Trump and his family saying they want to ruin their life. However, nobody forced her to post the video. A She crossed the line with this disgusting video. Many people condemned her and turned their backs on her, including Senator Al Franken. He said he’s no longer interested in participating in the event he has scheduled with her.
Minnesota Democratic Sen. Al Franken reversed himself on Thursday, saying he no longer intends to appear with comedian Kathy Griffin at an event next month.
Griffin — whose photo of herself with the mock severed head of President Donald Trump has sparked national outrage — was slated to join Franken on July 7 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills for an event promoting the senator’s new book, Giant of the Senate.
“After hearing from many Minnesotans who were rightfully offended, I’ve come to the conclusion that it would be best for her not to participate in the event we had previously scheduled. I understand why Minnesotans were upset by this, and I take that very seriously,” Franken told Politico Thursday.
Earlier that day, Franken had told CNN that Griffin would be participating in the event.
“Kathy’s a friend and she’s a terrific comedian, but this had no business being in our public discourse,” Franken said. “And I talked to her. She has apologized — a real, fulsome [sic] apology. She’s actually begged for forgiveness, and I believe in forgiveness.”
On Tuesday, Griffin apologized for the disturbing image, which was condemned across the political spectrum, conceding she “went too far.”
However, at a press conference on Friday, she sought to flip the narrative, claiming she was now the victim.
“I’m not afraid of Donald Trump. He’s a bully,” she said. “I’ve dealt with older white guys my whole life. My whole career. I’m a woman in a very male-dominated field.”

Griffin stated that her apology still stood but that as an “out-there comedian” she will make mistakes. She then returned to attacking the president and his family.
“What’s happened to me has never happened in the history of this great country, which is that a sitting president and his grown children and the first lady are personally, I feel, trying to ruin my life forever,” she said. “You guys know him, he’s never going to stop.”
“He broke me,” she tearfully stated.
Trump tweeted on Wednesday that his children, particularly his 11-year-old son Barron, were having a “hard time” with Griffin’s severed-head image.
First lady Melania Trump issued a statement that “[a]s a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing,” she said, adding, “When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”
Griffin’s attorney, Lisa Bloom, said the whole affair “has been a living nightmare for Kathy.”
Griffin needs to take responsibility and deal with the consequences of her ridiculous move. The person responsible for her ruined life is her and nobody else. She got what she deserved!
