CNN is drowning. While they’re drowning, Fox News is picking up the slack. With the removal of the asinine Megyn Kelly, and great election coverage, Fox News keeps boosting their viewership and ratings. This is hilarious. It’s enjoyable to see all the Fox News haters eating their words.

From Western Journalism:

Following landmark ratings at the end of 2016, Fox News Channel recorded the highest-rated quarter in cable news history, even beating popular entertainment channels ESPN and TBS, Nielsen Media Research reported.

During January, February and March of this year, Fox News averaged 1.7 million total viewers and 359,000 viewers in the key 25 to 54-year-old demographic.

Fox posted comparable numbers in primetime as well, as 2.8 million viewers turned in, with 576,000 of them part of the 25 to 54-year-old demographic.

Fox News ended 2016 as the most-watched basic cable network for the first time in its 20-year history, fueled largely by coverage of President Donald Trump’s historic White House race and Election Day victory.

“As we close out our 20th year, Fox News continues to redefine television news and break ratings records, proving it is indeed the most watched and most trusted television news source in the country,” co-presidents Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine said in a December statement.

In 2016, Fox News averaged 2.4 million viewers in primetime and 1.4 million viewers in total day — up 36 percent compared to 2015.

While Megyn Kelly’s January departure appeared to some as a bad omen, the arrival of Tucker Carlson Tonight has picked up the slack and then some. The show drew 3.27 million viewers, almost on par with The O’Reilly Factor at 3.98 million.

“Viewers have overwhelmingly responded to the show, and we look forward to him being a part of Fox News’ powerful prime-time lineup,” Rupert Murdoch said of Carlson in a statement.

Carlson’s show has nearly doubled the ratings of his predecessor, Kelly, according to Neilson Media Research. In the 24 to 54 age category, Carlson has averaged 775,000 viewers per night, while Kelly averaged 398,000 during the same time period, Jan. 11-22.

Carlson has wasted no time making waves with his new show, challenging various liberal guests on his program, including Bill Nye, Univision anchor Jorge Ramos and Black Lives Matter activists.

The controversial host has gone to bat for Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, even calling one Democrat “disingenuous” after he called for a probe into allegations surrounding the attorney general.

There is nothing more satisfying then watching a semi-conservative news site beat out all of the blatantly liberal biased media.
